The XP Power Manager

The XP Power Manager is our flagship product, and constitutes revolutionary new software that was designed to meet the standards of environmental demands. With this technology, corporations will be able to keep precise tabs on monitoring and reducing power consumption on their desktop PCs to lower carbon emissions and power costs. It is an all-in-one power saving solution for Microsoft Windows XP.

This product does not shut down PCs; instead it puts them into S3 sleep mode, thus making it easier to selectively 'wake' them. The machines can return to their ready state in less than 5 seconds and all this can be done from a remote location to apply patches, install software or access remote systems. With its customisable power settings, this cutting edge software will ensure that the optimal level of power saving for each client is achieved. For example, computers that do not support S3 sleep can be configured for S1 sleep instead. This together with its built in energy reporting facility, will allow users to quantify energy savings in order to meet targets and/or comply with the local legislative requirements on power consumption.

Average PCs generally cost £80 a year to run if left on full time, which a large number of PCs unfortunately are. However in most cases the period of use is less than a quarter of this. As is the case, using a power management utility like The XP Power Manager can result in savings of up to £60 a year.
